Sussex County Community College is an accredited, comprehensive two-year community college that sits on 167 beautiful acres with three ponds and 12 academic buildings in the town of Newton, New Jersey. Sussex provides a dynamic college experience to a diverse community of students that supports the economic prosperity of the region through lifelong learning, and high-quality academic and occupational programs, in an accessible and supportive environment to ensure student success.

During the admissions process, the College collects a student’s legal name and address and optionally requests student’s personal email and cell phone. The College collects this information so the College can correspond online or text with the student to notify the student regarding their College email login, registration for courses, course schedule changes, academic standing and graduation status, etc.

The College never shares and/or sells student’s personal email or cell phone with third parties.

The College shares student’s name, mailing address, major and graduation status only when required by law to do so through the Open Public Records Act (OPRA).

Student data is never transferred internally or externally.

Students may opt-out and remove their personal email or cell at any time.

The College provides a Change Information form where students can submit changes online on College Portal https://my.sussex.edu student page, or students can write, text or email the College Registrar’s Office.
